Roma chase Nicolò Tresoldi to back up Malen as Greenwood priority

🇮🇹

AS Roma have identified Belgian striker Nicolò Tresoldi as a potential deputy for Milan Malen, while English forward Mason Greenwood remains their top target in the hunt for new attacking options. The Giallorossi are seeking to boost their goal output after a season of prolonged scoring droughts.

Mason Greenwood remains the Giallorossi’s top priority in the search for a new forward. The club is also evaluating additional options to address the lack of goals that plagued them for long periods last season.

Milan Malen was the obvious choice to lead the attack, but Gasperini wants an extra solution to improve on the previous Serie A third‑place finish. The desire for depth reflects Roma’s ambition to climb higher in the league.

Nicolò Tresoldi, the 2004‑born Belgian striker, has emerged as a potential candidate for the backup role. In Belgium he recorded 23 goals and nine assists across 3,315 minutes of play last season.

His impact extended to the Champions League, where he netted three goals in ten appearances. Those goals came against Monaco, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.

Before committing to Tresoldi, Roma must first settle the future of Artem Dovbyk. La dello Sport reports the Giallorossi have targeted the Brugge striker to fill Malen’s deputy role, provided they can accommodate Dovbyk.

If a place can be found for Dovbyk, Tresoldi could join the squad ahead of the upcoming campaign. The transfer window will determine whether Roma can reinforce their attack as planned.
