Standard Liège close to signing French forward Antoine Mazure
Standard are edging closer to adding French forward Antoine Mazure to their SL16 FC squad. The club has already secured Bruny Nsimba, confirmed Laurens Goemaere, and is likely to sign Dimitri Lavalée before the summer window closes in a busy transfer campaign.
Standard announced Bruny Nsimba's signing in March.
Standard confirmed the signing of Laurens Goemaere this week. Goemaere arrives as captain of Club NXT.
Dimitri Lavalée is expected to sign his contract with Standard shortly.
SL16 FC, Standard's second team, is seeking to strengthen its squad. The side has spent two seasons battling relegation in D1 ACFF and aims to finish higher in the table.
Standard is in talks with Antoine Mazure, a 27‑year‑old French attacker who impressed in D1 ACFF with Habay-la-Neuve. Mazure was highlighted as one of the season's revelations in the division.
He recorded fifteen goals and fourteen assists in the competition last season. Mazure previously played for Clermont and for Niederkorn in Luxembourg.
If signed, Mazure could become an experienced pawn for SL16 FC. Strong performances might also open a pathway to Standard's first team, depending on needs.
