Tebas slams Real Madrid’s UEFA dossier as hypocritical complaint

Javier Tebas told reporters, “I have not seen it yet, but I really want to read it. I want to see since what year they complain, if they complain about the mistakes that have been made with all the clubs, including Real Madrid itself.” He added that Real Madrid’s own history of questioning refereeing decisions makes its complaint appear hypocritical.

When asked whether he would address a Real Madrid presidential inauguration, Tebas said he would gladly take the floor and repeat his remarks. He explained that personal family matters keep him from attending the regular weekend box seats offered by the league. The comment followed Tebas’s appearance at Barcelona’s presidential inauguration earlier in the week, where club president Joan Laporta used the platform to criticize Florentino Perez and the Bernabeu club. Laporta’s remarks highlighted the ongoing rivalry between the two giants. Despite Tebas’ criticism, Real Madrid is expected to continue pursuing any possible sanctions against Barcelona in the Negreira case. The club views the dossier as a legitimate avenue to address what it perceives as past misconduct.
