25 million dollars shake the York market for Thierry Henry

Thierry Henry, legend of French football, has put his New York penthouse, located in SoHo, up for sale for $25 million, according to Sotheby’s, after having bought it in 2010 when he signed with the New York Red Bulls together with his partner Andrea Rajacic, who wish to turn the page.

An exceptional property in SoHo

The penthouse, perched on the top floor of a cast‑iron building in the SoHo district, offers an unobstructed view of the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges. It spans 565 m² of interior space and 316 m² of outdoor space, spread over several levels. The residence includes five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, two guest toilets, as well as multiple living and entertaining areas. Two private parking spaces and a dedicated elevator provide rare privacy in the heart of Manhattan.

An investment born from a signing with the Red Bulls

Thierry Henry acquired the property in 2010, immediately after signing with the New York Red Bulls, a club where he played for four seasons before retiring in 2014. At the time, he arrived from FC Barcelona, and his partner Andrea Rajacic said she was charmed from the first visit. The couple then bought two apartments which they merged into one, at a cost of $14.9 million, roughly €13 million.

Sotheby’s, appointed for the sale, describes the property as “a private residence suspended in the sky, in the heart of SoHo.” The listing notes that the 39 Crosby penthouse combines space, privacy and discretion, a rarity in downtown Manhattan. The listed sale price is $25 million, about €22 million.

A career beyond the pitch

Since the end of his playing career, Thierry Henry has taken on numerous coaching roles, notably at AS Monaco, CF Montréal and with the France U‑21 team. He also works as a consultant for CBS Sports and Amazon Prime Video, after joining Fox Sports for the 2026 World Cup. Moreover, he is a shareholder of the Italian club Como, coached by his former Arsenal teammate Cesc Fàbregas.

Asked by the Wall Street Journal, the former Arsenal legend striker said: “We were and still are in love with this place,” adding that “It was very hard to leave New York.” This comment underscores the couple’s emotional bond with the city.

The couple had already taken the property off the market in 2025, before relisting it this year to turn the page on New York. Andrea Rajacic confirmed that the decision was driven by the desire to relocate more to London, where they now reside.

At $25 million, the penthouse is one of the most expensive properties ever put up for sale by a football personality, highlighting the exceptional value of Manhattan’s real‑estate market.
