Josh Kroenke vows Arsenal upgrades after Champions League final
Josh Kroenke announced Arsenal will add new players even if they win the Champions League. He also said renewing Mikel Arteta’s contract is the club’s “utmost priority”.
Arsenal will meet Paris Saint‑Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest on Saturday. The final marks Arsenal’s first appearance in the competition’s decisive match.
Arsenal spent more than £250 million on transfers last summer. Those signings helped secure a Premier League title, the club’s first in 22 years.
Josh Kroenke and his father Stan, the owners and co‑chairs, watched Arsenal’s match at Crystal Palace on Sunday. They carried the Champions League trophy onto the pitch before captain Martin Ødegaard received it.
Both Kroenke and Stan are expected to be present at the final in Budapest. Their attendance underscores the owners’ commitment ahead of the showdown.
