Benfica renews contract with Luca Moraes

Benfica announced on Monday the renewal of Luca Moraes's contract. The forward is the son of former goalkeeper Artur Moraes.

Moraes scored 37 goals in 29 matches in the 2025/26 season for Benfica's youth side. The campaign took place with the club's initiates.

Moraes was born in Lisbon. He has represented Italy's and Brazil's youth national teams. He became the first player called up to a Brazilian youth side without having trained in the country's domestic system.

The new deal prepares Moraes for his eighth season with Benfica. The club's official statement described him as a player "totally made in Benfica".
