Besiktas bank on Salah lure to win over Vlahovic in Turkey
Besiktas are betting that the prospect of playing alongside Mohamed Salah will persuade Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic to join the Turkish club, as manager Vincenzo Italiano pushes for the ex‑Juventus forward while talks to sign Salah progress. Vlahovic's previous contract expired on June 30, and he has been offered a new deal in Turin at a much lower salary, but he is waiting for better proposals.
Vincenzo Italiano remains convinced he can convince Vlahovic to sign for Besiktas, emphasizing the club’s ambition as negotiations with Salah advance. The manager highlighted the strategic advantage of adding a world‑class forward to the squad.
Besiktas are described as the most determined club to lock Vlahovic down, and they now have an additional incentive to persuade him. The Turkish side believes the Salah opportunity strengthens their appeal.
Mohamed Salah, a free agent, is in advanced talks to sign a contract worth €10m per season plus add‑ons. Salah’s potential arrival is seen as a key factor that could entice Vlahovic to choose Besiktas.

The contract on the table for Vlahovic is reported to be €8m per season plus bonuses, underscoring the financial package Besiktas may need to match.
Salah’s transfer delay has been linked to his agent’s demand for €7.5m in commission, which Turkish transfer pundit Yagiz Sabuncuoglu says has been lowered to a more acceptable figure.
Once Salah’s signing is confirmed, Besiktas can turn their full focus to convincing Vlahovic, completing the two‑pronged recruitment plan.
