PSV Ranks Among Youngest European Champions This Season

🇳🇱

PSV Eindhoven is one of the youngest champion squads in Europe this season. Only four clubs fielded younger title‑winning line‑ups. The Dutch side secured the Eredivisie crown.

Paris Saint-Germain, Club Brugge, FC Porto and FC Barcelona each assembled squads with lower average ages than PSV. These clubs finished atop the French Ligue 1, Belgian Pro League, Portuguese Primeira Liga and Spanish La Liga respectively. All four maintained average ages below PSV's champion roster.

The data stem from a CIES Football Observatory analysis of the ten largest European leagues. The study compared average ages of the title‑winning teams across those competitions. It identified the youngest squads among the champions.

PSV's place among the youngest champions underscores the club's reliance on emerging talent. The trend may influence other clubs to prioritize youth development in pursuit of domestic success. Future seasons will reveal whether the approach yields sustained competitiveness.
