Bundesliga clubs swarm as Dennis attracts fresh interest

Several Bundesliga clubs have entered the race to sign 22‑year‑old Nigerian defensive midfielder Anthony Dennis, a one‑time Super Eagles invitee, after Göztepe rejected a €3.3 million bid from Anderlecht and now value him at around €8 million, with potential transfer fees approaching €10 million and one year left on his contract.

Bundesliga Interest Intensifies

Transfer analyst Ekrem Konur says Hoffenheim, Mainz, Augsburg and Stuttgart have all shown strong interest in the Nigerian defensive midfielder. Their pursuit adds to the growing list of Bundesliga clubs monitoring Dennis. The interest underscores the midfielder’s rising profile.

Clubs from England, Spain and Turkey are also linked with a move for the Göztepe star. Reports connect him with potential suitors in those leagues. The broad spectrum of interest reflects his versatility and recent performances.

Göztepe reportedly turned down a €3.3 million offer from Belgian Pro League giants Anderlecht last summer. The Turkish side’s rejection came after a loss to Trabzonspor, a match highlighted in recent coverage. Read Also:Turkey: Dennis On Target In Göztepe’s Loss To Trabzonspor.

Göztepe Valuation and Transfer Prospects

The club now places a target price of around €8 million on the 22‑year‑old, while a potential transfer could climb close to €10 million. This valuation follows the earlier rejected bid and the player’s contract situation. The price tag positions Dennis among the most expensive Turkish Lig prospects.

Dennis arrived at Göztepe from HB Academy Abuja in July 2023 and quickly became a key member of the squad. He holds one year left on his contract, giving clubs a limited window to negotiate. His single Super Eagles invitation highlights his international pedigree.

If Bundesliga clubs decide to meet Göztepe’s target, negotiations will need to address the remaining contract year and the €10 million ceiling. Competition from English, Spanish and Turkish interests may drive the price higher. The outcome will determine whether the midfielder departs the Turkish Lig this summer.
