Carlo Ancelotti confirms Neymar ready for brazil's World Cup match
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed on Friday that Neymar Jr. resumed individual training and will join the Brazil squad on Monday, making him available for the group match against Scotland at the World Cup 2026. The Brazilian forward missed the first two days of the tournament but could return to the line‑up.
Morocco defeated Scotland 0‑1, and shortly after the win, Mohamed Ouahbi, coach of the Lions de l'Atlas, defended his captain Achraf Hakimi, who had been booed at the start of the match following reports of a pending rape trial dating to 2023 after a complaint by a 24‑year‑old woman.
"Nous n’en avons pas discuté et nous n’en avons pas besoin. Nous le soutenons tous. J’espère qu’il prouvera lors de cette Coupe du monde qu’il est le meilleur latéral droit du monde", Ouahbi said, emphasizing his support for Hakimi despite the controversy.
Thibaut Courtois became an investor in KRC Genk, the club where he developed and which he calls the club of his heart in Belgium, though he is not expected to return to the Jupiler Pro League as a player.
The SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles was visited by the editorial team on Friday, just before the Diables Rouges arrived, and the venue impressed the visitors with its modern facilities.
Brazil have already secured qualification for the round of 16 but must still compete for the top spot in their group, a position also sought by Morocco after their recent victories.
Both Morocco and Brazil are 99.99 % certain to reach the round of 16 after their wins over Scotland and Haiti, while Turkey faced disappointment despite a surprising exclusion involving Paraguay.
