Cercle Brugge cashes in on Nazinho as Monaco seal €5m deal
Flavio Nazinho, the 22‑year‑old Portuguese left‑back, has completed a move from Cercle Brugge to AS Monaco, with the transfer officially confirmed by the French club. The deal could net Cercle up to five million euros and ties Nazinho to Monaco until June 2030.
Nazinho arrived at Cercle in 2023 initially on a one‑year loan from Sporting CP. The Belgian side later secured his permanent transfer for roughly one million euros, while Sporting CP retained a 15 % sell‑on clause.
During his three seasons with the Bruges outfit, Nazinho featured in 94 matches, scoring six goals and providing 16 assists. He was on the verge of reaching the 100‑appearance milestone for the club’s green and black colours.
The club’s statement said, “Son transfert vers l’AS Monaco constitue en outre une étape importante dans la collaboration entre les deux clubs.” The communiqué highlighted the move as a key step in the partnership between Cercle and Monaco.
The Cercle management added, “Depuis l’arrivée de l’AS Monaco comme actionnaire principal, Flávio est le premier joueur à réaliser un transfert direct et définitif depuis le Cercle.” The direction expressed satisfaction at seeing the player depart for the larger stage.
Nazinho’s contract runs until June 2030, indicating a long‑term commitment to the Ligue 1 side. Monaco will integrate the 22‑year‑old into its squad as part of its ongoing development strategy.
