Liverpool push to sign Bundesliga forward Yan Diomande
Liverpool have entered talks over a potential move for Hertha BSC striker Yan Diomande. The Reds are prioritising Diomande as they plan for life without Mohamed Salah.
The 22-year-old Ivorian forward has scored 11 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances this season. Hertha BSC currently sit 15th in the Bundesliga table with nine matches remaining.
Liverpool’s interest follows their failure to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface last summer. The club have identified Diomande as a target in their succession planning for Salah, who turns 32 in June.

Diomande joined Hertha BSC from FC Lorient in July 2023 for a reported €12 million. He has been linked with moves to several Premier League clubs in recent weeks. Liverpool’s front office, including sporting director Fabio Paratici, are leading the pursuit. The club’s recruitment strategy remains focused on securing long-term replacements for high-profile departures.
