Fenerbahçe make €5m bid for Lukaku as Ueda chase continues

Fenerbahçe have tabled a €5 million bid for Romelu Lukaku, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The Turkish club remains determined to sign the Belgium international, who is currently contracted to SSC Napoli.

The move follows earlier reporting that Fenerbahçe had submitted a €20 million offer to Feyenoord for Ayase Ueda. Negotiations remain ongoing, with both parties still far apart, but Di Marzio notes signals that Fenerbahçe and Napoli could reach an agreement on Lukaku’s transfer in the coming days.

Agent Federico Pastorello has arrived at Napoli’s training camp, a presence that may indicate talks over Lukaku’s future are intensifying. The Belgian striker’s representative could play a key role in bridging valuation gaps between the clubs.

Lukaku may now face competition from Ueda for a starting role at Fenerbahçe. The Turkish side has reportedly bid €20 million for the Japanese forward, though it is unclear whether technical director Dévy Rigaux considers the offer sufficient. Ueda has indicated personal interest in a move to Turkey.

The 33-year-old has been repeatedly linked with Fenerbahçe in recent weeks. The club’s €5 million bid represents the first concrete step in a concerted pursuit of the striker.

Earlier this year, Lukaku was also connected with moves to AS Monaco, Atlanta United and a possible return to RSC Anderlecht. He remains under contract at Napoli until the summer of 2027. Transfermarkt currently values him at €6 million.
