Feyenoord’s Rigaux seals Charles Vanhoutte deal and eyes Nacho Ferri for €6m

🇳🇱

Feyenoord’s technical director Dévy Rigaux is pushing two transfers to completion, including a reported €6 million move for Westerlo striker Nacho Ferri. The club has already finalised an agreement for Belgian defender Charles Vanhoutte, who arrives from Union SG with Champions League football on the horizon.

Vanhoutte’s move follows Rigaux’s clear intent to strengthen Feyenoord’s squad, with the Dutch club valuing his defensive capabilities. The defender’s arrival provides immediate competition in defence and a pathway to European competition for the first time in his career.

Rigaux, who has deep knowledge of the Belgian transfer market, is not stopping at Vanhoutte. The technical director is also targeting Westerlo’s Nacho Ferri, a forward with prior experience at KV Kortrijk. Ferri’s valuation on Transfermarkt stands at €6 million, though insiders suggest the final fee could rise.

Insiders confirm both deals are in the final stages, with high confidence they will be completed. The club is also preparing outgoing transfers alongside these arrivals, indicating a broader squad overhaul under Rigaux’s direction.

Ferri’s potential arrival would add attacking depth to Feyenoord’s options, with the forward open to a move abroad. The deal’s financial scale—reportedly around €6 million—reflects Rigaux’s willingness to invest in proven Belgian talent to bolster the Rotterdam side.

With Vanhoutte’s deal effectively done and Ferri’s transfer nearing completion, Rigaux has wasted no time reshaping Feyenoord’s squad for the new season.
