Gent's chase for Danish striker pits them against Serie A rivals

🇧🇪

KAA Gent have identified 21‑year‑old Danish forward David Stückler as a target to revamp their attack, but they now face competition from Serie A side Torino, which has already sent scouts to monitor the striker. Transfermarkt values Stückler at €0.5 million and his contract with Cremonese runs until 2028.

The interest was reported by the Danish football magazine Tipsbladet, confirming that Stückler holds Danish nationality.

Stückler moved to Italy in 2022 when Cremonese signed him from the Danish club AB, placing him in the Italian youth system.

He featured for Cremonese’s U19 and U20 squads before being loaned twice to third‑division sides.

In the 2024‑2025 season he netted sixteen goals for Giana Erminio, while the previous campaign he scored thirteen for LR Vicenza, enough to finish as the league’s top scorer.

His agreement with Cremonese extends to 2028, and the club is reportedly willing to terminate the deal now that it has dropped from Serie A to Serie B, potentially opening a larger role for the striker.

Torino, a Serie A club, has also expressed interest; scouts have been observed at the stadium watching Stückler’s performances, making them a direct rival for Gent.

Stückler can operate as a central striker or from the right flank, and he must decide whether to remain in Italy or pursue a move to Belgium.
