Inter’s Palestra pursuit could trigger Frattesi move to Juventus
Inter’s pursuit of Atalanta’s Marco Palestra risks triggering a domino effect in Serie A. The Dutch wing-back Denzel Dumfries will leave for Real Madrid after his €20m release clause was activated.
Inter’s primary target to replace Dumfries is 21-year-old Italy international Palestra, who impressed on loan at Cagliari in 2025-26. Atalanta, however, are in no rush to sell as they plan to finalize Ederson’s €45m move to Manchester United.
Atalanta have set a price above €50m for Palestra, potentially up to €55m. Inter are reportedly considering a bid around €45m, complicating negotiations.

If Inter fail to sign Palestra, they could turn to Juventus’s Andrea Cambiaso as an alternative. SportItalia reports Inter may include midfielder Davide Frattesi in a player-plus-cash deal for Cambiaso. Inter also have the option to offer Carlos Augusto to Juventus instead of Frattesi, according to reports.
