Jesús Velasco defines the Spanish team for the Finalissima

Jesús Velasco announced the call‑up of 14 players for the Finalissima, which will be played from 6 to 8 November in Niterói, Brazil. Spain will face Portugal in the semifinal on Friday 6 November at 22:30. A video confirms the squad. The training camp starts on 1 November and the team will travel to Brazil.

Calendar and opponents

The Finalissima will feature four national teams. While Spain faces Portugal, Brazil and Argentina will contest the other knockout match in the same tournament.

Spain aims to improve on the 2022 edition, in which it finished as runner‑up after losing to Portugal in the penalty shoot‑out. In 2022, Portugal beat Spain in the final via penalties.

The call‑up was published by the RFEF in Barcelona. The coaching staff confirmed that the training camp will begin on 1 November.

The goalkeepers called up are Dídac Plana and Jesús Herrero. Both will guard the net in the Finalissima matches.

The selected pivots are Antonio Pérez, Raya and Adrián Rivera; Ricardo Mayor will occupy the wing‑pivot position. The wings are Cecilio, Novoa, Pablo Muñoz, Mellado and Rivillos. The called‑up wing‑pivots are Adolfo and Sergio González.
