Ligue 1 clubs chase Charleroi’s 18‑year‑old prospect Mory Kera
Belgian U18 international Mory Kera, the 18‑year‑old defensive midfielder of Charleroi, has become the focus of three Ligue 1 clubs as the summer transfer window approaches. His contract runs until June 2027 and Transfermarkt values him at €150,000, prompting interest from AS Monaco, Lille and Paris FC.
Kera, who has already featured for Belgium’s U18 side, spent the previous season training with Charleroi’s first team and was regularly named on the bench for league matches. The club’s technical staff view his inclusion as a sign of confidence in his development.
AS Monaco, renowned for refining young prospects such as Kylian Mbappé, leads the pursuit of the Belgian talent. Monaco’s scouts have been monitoring Kera’s performances closely, according to reports.
Lille and Paris FC have also expressed strong admiration for Kera’s physical and technical attributes. Both clubs see the midfielder as a potential asset for their squads in the coming season.
Charleroi will need to fight to retain the youngster, despite his contract not expiring until 2027. The accelerating interest from French clubs adds pressure on the Belgian side to negotiate a possible extension or sale.
Transfermarkt currently lists Kera’s market value at €150,000, a modest figure for an 18‑year‑old with first‑team exposure. With the summer window looming, the three French clubs are expected to submit offers before the season ends.
