Nathan Ake set for Bournemouth return from Man City
Manchester City defender Nathan Ake is set to return to Bournemouth six years after leaving for £40m. Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee with Manchester City for the defender.
Bournemouth are preparing to part ways with Marcos Senesi. The Argentine defender has been at the club since 2022. Senesi’s potential exit follows interest from Tottenham.
Ake joined Manchester City from Bournemouth in 2018 for £40m. He made 149 appearances for the Cherries across two spells. His first stint at Bournemouth ran from 2011 to 2015.
Tottenham have identified Ake as a defensive target. The club is finalizing terms with Manchester City. Senesi’s future remains contingent on Bournemouth’s incoming transfer activity.
Ake’s return would strengthen Tottenham’s defensive options. The club currently has three center-backs available. Senesi’s departure would leave a defensive void at Bournemouth.
Bournemouth are expected to finalize Ake’s transfer in the coming days. Tottenham will conclude medicals and paperwork shortly after.
