Marc Pubill substituted at half-time due to illness

Marc Pubill made his Atlético Madrid debut with a goal in a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday.

The 22-year-old midfielder scored in the 34th minute to give Los Colchoneros the lead at the Metropolitano.

Pubill replaced Rodrigo De Paul at half-time, with Atlético announcing the change was due to indisposition.

Club medical staff confirmed Pubill’s condition was not serious and he will be assessed ahead of the next match.

Atlético Madrid’s next fixture is against Real Betis on Wednesday in La Liga.

Marc Pubill joined Atlético Madrid this summer after Athletic Bilbao’s deal for Iñigo Areso collapsed.
