Mark McCall Ends Saracens Coaching Tenure After Defeat
Mark McCall ends his Saracens coaching career after 17 years, six Premiership titles and three European Champions Cups, concluding with a 32-12 loss to Exeter.
Saracens finished fifth in the Premiership and did not add to the six titles under his leadership. McCall said he feels fortunate and blessed.
Under McCall, Saracens won three European Champions Cups, faced a salary cap scandal that led to relegation. He guided them back to the Premiership at the first attempt in 2021. He later added a further title in 2023.
Brendan Venter will return as McCall's successor. McCall expressed optimism about the squad core, academy talent, and incoming senior players.
