Médias Jérôme Rothen embarks on new Liga commentary role

According to L’Équipe, the main commentary team will consist of former French internationals Jérôme Rothen and Benoît Trémoulinas. The duo will be joined by journalists Adrien Courouble, Eric Huet and Hamza Rahmani to provide analysis.

Claude Makelele and Samuel Umtiti will operate from the sidelines, conducting player and coach interviews throughout the season. The two former players will also carry out interviews with major Liga figures across the campaign. The show had been on pause since the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

In 2019, he launched a Friday‑night show titled “Rothen régale”. Since the 2021 season start, “Rothen s’enflamme” has aired Monday through Friday, delivering daily Liga analysis.
