Orsomarso SC battles bribery as Colombian football faces new scandal
Colombian football is hit by a fresh bribery scandal, yet Orsomarso SC, a Segunda División club, has launched a public defence of its players, denouncing external offers and pledging to safeguard the competition’s integrity while urging the federation and authorities to act jointly.
External individuals approached several professional players with cash, aiming to influence betting‑related situations. The club said these offers targeted the squad in an attempt to manipulate match outcomes.
Orsomarso SC learned of the approach through its internal prevention and integrity mechanisms and issued a statement rejecting any such attempts. EN the statement, the club emphasized that DE external actors must be excluded from the sport.
