Pilot tricks Argentinians on board, sparks World Cup frenzy

A Spanish pilot announced on a commercial flight that Argentina had become World Cup champions, trolling the Argentine passengers into celebrating a title that never existed; the ruse was shattered when the real result – Spain’s 1‑0 extra‑time victory over Argentina, courtesy of Ferran Torres – was revealed.

The pilot sent a message to passengers during the flight, explicitly TROLLED Argentinians and claimed Argentina had become champions of the World Cup.

"Unfortunately, only one can win the World Cup final. We wanted to congratulate... our Argentine companions," the pilot said, delivering the false celebration.

The hermanos, of course, clapped, jumped and sang mid‑flight to celebrate the FIFA World Cup "title" as if it were real.

According to CNN, the pilot was Spanish, confirming his nationality behind the prank.

He later explained that La Furia had won the title, putting an end to the Argentine celebration.

In reality, Spain beat Argentina 1‑0, with a goal from Ferran Torres scored in extra time.

With that win, Spain reached two titles while Argentina remained stuck on three trophies.
