He arrived at Rennes in the winter window after more than two years at Fenerbahçe. Rennes paid approximately €10 million for the Polaka, a figure that reflects the club’s willingness to invest in the young talent.
In the closing stages of the previous season the Pomocnik featured in 17 matches, netting one goal and providing three assists. This campaign he has already contributed a goal and an assist across four appearances, underlining his immediate impact.
Serie A suitors
According to reports from Ekrema and Konura, SSC Napoli and Como have placed Szymański on their radar. Both clubs, described as participants in the Champions League, are scouting the 27‑year‑old to bolster their attacking creativity. The interest comes from the Włoch side of Serie A.
Como view him as a potential successor to Nico Paz, while Napoli seek a player who can add speed and flair to their forward play.
