Portugal dominates start of futsal World Cup qualifying
In the Braga arena, the National Futsal Team took the court against Denmark with the determination to open Group 7 of the qualification for the Futsal World Cup. From the opening whistle, the goal was clear: secure the win and start the campaign on the right foot.
The Portuguese side started hesitantly, conceding the Danish response goal already in the first minute. However, the reaction was immediate and the mistake was quickly corrected.
Turnaround in the early minutes
Four minutes later, Tomás Paçó found the equaliser, bringing relief to the team. A few moments later, Diogo Santos scored the winning goal, putting Portugal ahead and setting the tone of the match.
At halftime, the lead was 6‑3, reflecting the Portuguese offensive efficiency and the vulnerability of the Danish defence.
