Premier rivals clash as Tottenham and Aston Villa chase Milan’s Leao

Tottenham, Aston Villa and Galatasaray are all reported to be actively negotiating with AC Milan for Portuguese winger Rafael Leao. Milan’s asking price remains unchanged, with the Rossoneri seeking offers in the €50‑60 million range for the forward.

Monday interest from Emery and Italian sources

Unai Emery’s side expressed interest on Monday night, backed by other Italian sources. The report noted that additional clubs have now entered the race for Leao.

Aston Villa are not the sole suitor, as Tottenham have also entered active talks with Milan. Both Premier League clubs are positioned as serious contenders alongside Galatasaray.

Galatasaray’s formal offer and Milan expert’s view

Galatasaray have long shown interest and have already submitted a formal offer for Leao. Milan expert Kush confirmed that Tottenham are now also actively negotiating with the club over the winger.

Kush, who broke several Milan stories this summer, previously reported Diego Moreira’s transfer from Strasbourg. He reiterated that Milan’s price tag for Leao has not shifted, staying at €50‑60 million.

During a pre‑season match on August 05, 2026, Leao made a run towards goal for AC Milan against FC Internazionale at Optus Stadium in PERTH, AUSTRALIA. The action was captured by photographer James Worsfold, and James also documented the scene in Perth.

Ruben Amorim, head coach of AC Milan, was seen reacting during the Serie A clash with Torino FC at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on August 23, 2026. Leao missed the opening game of the 2026‑27 Serie A season through injury, is not in Amorim’s plans, and has said he will seek a new challenge.

Having prioritized a Premier League move, Leao makes Tottenham and Aston Villa the favourites over Galatasaray if they meet Milan’s €50‑60 million demand. The juxtaposition of multiple suitors and the player’s own ambitions underscores a looming transfer battle as the new season approaches.
