PSG Transfer: the champion's Paris eyes a young Ligue 1 defender

Paris of Paris Saint‑Germain shows a marked interest in the 20‑year‑old defender Jaydee Canvot, a former Toulouse FC player, whose contract runs until June 2029 with Crystal Palace. According to Football Insider, the French club would be attracted by the idea of signing him, but the Eagles do not want to let him go easily.

Interest of the Parisian club

PSG, French champions, are closely monitoring Canvot's progress in the Premier League and consider him a promising option to strengthen their defence. The young French international would have discovered English football after his departure from Toulouse FC in the summer of 2025.

Player profile

Trained at Toulouse, Canvot played 22 Ligue 1 matches before joining Crystal Palace. His experience in the French and English championships makes him attractive to the capital club, which anticipates its defensive needs.

Crystal Palace's position

Crystal Palace, aware of the defender's value, is not under financial or contractual pressure to sell him. The player's contract, valid until 2029, puts the Eagles in a strong position to reject any offer.

Football Insider indicates that Canvot would feel flattered by the Parisian interest and would be open to a transfer if PSG quickly finalises its offer. No official agreement has yet been announced, the case remaining at the speculation stage.

PSG will therefore have to convince the Crystal Palace executives, who wish to keep their young talent. The final decision will depend on the French club's ability to propose convincing terms.
