Raum eyes Bayern-Leipzig duel, dreams of Jürgen Klopp
On Saturday evening the duel between Kompany and Demichelis is in focus – two former Manchester City greats who now play for different opponents in the Bundesliga. At the same time the clash between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig raises questions about the right timing, as RB Leipzig defender David Raum emphasizes.
Bayern's Form Since the Break
Since the international break Bayern Munich have played twice and each time only secured a draw against Augsburg and the Swedish club Viking. Raum wonders whether a possible weak point of Bayern could give them extra motivation to win in their home stadium.
„I don't know if there is a right moment to face Bayern“, explains Raum. „If they fight a little, they might get angry and want to win at home. If they're in good shape, they might flow.“
The Leipzig defender highlights his team's recent performances: two clear victories and four games without conceding. „We go to Munich with our heads held high“, he adds and emphasizes that the squad is ready to meet Bayern with determination.
When asked about the impact of the Champions League victory over PSV Eindhoven, Raum answers: „This is not only a great success for me, but for the whole team and the club. The win gives us energy for the upcoming important matches.“
He concludes: „We are very happy to travel to Munich, and we go into the match confidently with two victories behind us.“
