Renewed S04-Gerüchte swirl around Ndiaye and Lindstrøm

In the bustling Gelsenkirchen training ground, whispers swirl as the transfer deadline looms, with two fresh reports tying S04-Gerüchte to Moussa Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrøm despite earlier setbacks.

Rene Nijhuis/MB Media/GettyImagesAuch noted that FC Schalke could see further Bewegungen in the letzten Tagen of the Transferfensters. The source highlighted that several clubs are still active as the window closes. Mehrere clubs are monitoring the market, according to the same report.

Mehrere Abgänge sind angedacht, yet nothing Nennenswertes has materialised, and the club may still add one or two Neuzugänge. The club’s strategy remains cautious, with no major signings confirmed so far.

Failed talks on Ndiaye and Lindstrøm

The Gerüht that S04 is linked with Moussa Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrøm resurfaced, describing the Art as a potential Transfer that ultimately fell through. Both players were reportedly wanted by the Aufsteiger, but the Bemühungen failed in the end.

Transfer-reporter Sacha Tavolieri, cited by RedditCopy and ArticleFüg, claimed Schalke has not given up hope on a renewed cooperation with Ndiaye. The Quelle of the claim was later questioned, with Tavolieri described as generally reliable but possibly providing outdated information. The Thema remains open as to whether talks will restart.

Vitalie Becker recently extended his contract while Robin Gosens was sent out on loan, leaving two players to compete for playing time in the Ndiaye-Position. This internal competition adds another layer to the club’s defensive planning.

Schalke is also said to have re‑opened dialogue with RSC Anderlecht about a possible Ndiaye loan. Anderlecht is reportedly no longer focused on a sale and might consider a loan, while the 24‑Jährige expresses a desire to feature again for S04.

Sport director Frank Baumann told reporters that the defence is well‑set, dismissing both a Kolasinac move and any renewed push for Ndiaye. His comments came while addressing a separate Gerüht about Sead Kolasinac.

Negotiations with SSC Napoli over Lindstrøm have been strained, with Napoli allegedly breaching a verbal agreement on a Kaufoption and threatening legal action. Il Mattino reported on Thursday that Schalke again contacted Lindstrøm’s management, suggesting interest may still be alive.

Money shortage hampers new signings

The failed Lindstrøm deal freed funds that were used to sign Junior Dina Ebimbe, yet the club has not recouped or saved that money elsewhere. Financial constraints also mean expected savings from the departures of Anton Donkor, Max Grüger and Finn Porath have not materialised.

A potential sale of Moussa Sylla could generate revenue, but any proceeds would likely be reinvested in the attack rather than easing the current budgetary pressure.
