Report: Galatasaray's €45m bid narrows Milan's €50m Leao valuation
Report Galatasaray have submitted an improved offer for Portugal forward Rafael Leao, proposing €45 million plus bonuses to AC Milan. The Istanbul club’s bid aims to meet Milan’s €50 million valuation and comes as Aston Villa remain in the race for the striker.
According to Goal Italia, citing Turkish transfer journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the bid is structured with easily achievable bonuses to close the gap on Milan’s €50 million price tag. The approach reflects Galatasaray’s intent to secure the player without over‑paying.
Contract terms already settled
Leao has already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray, signing a four‑year contract worth €12 million per season, meaning the player side presents no obstacle. The agreement confirms the Portugal forward’s commitment to the Istanbul side.
Galatasaray chase €45m Leao move as Turkish rivals watch
Aston Villa remain in contention for Leao, while Tottenham are further back, according to reports. Unai Emery’s side has the funds after a summer of significant sales, including departures to Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.
For Galatasaray, finalising the €45 million deal would bring a high‑profile forward and satisfy a large portion of Milan’s €50 million valuation. For Milan, the offer helps bridge the valuation gap and secures a sizable fee for the club.
The report also recalls a pre‑season friendly staged in Jakarta, INDONESIA, on AUGUST 08, 2026, where Rafael Leao of AC Milan faced Moises Caicedo of Chelsea FC at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. The match photo, credited to Peksi Cahyo/Getty, captured the Portuguese forward shooting past the Chelsea attacker.
