Brighton & Hove Albion Sporting Director Jason Ayto Leaves

Brighton & Hove Albion announced that sporting director Jason Ayto has departed the club with immediate effect. Ayto had been appointed in September 2025 as the Seagulls' inaugural sporting director.

Prior to joining Brighton, Ayto spent more than ten years at Arsenal working in a range of technical positions. His Arsenal tenure included responsibilities across scouting, recruitment and performance analysis.

Chairman Tony Bloom released a statement thanking Ayto for his contributions. Bloom wished Ayto success in his future endeavors.

The club did not disclose any financial terms related to the separation. Brighton & Hove Albion indicated that a search for a successor will commence immediately.
