United States Opens 2026 World Cup Against Paraguay

The United States will open the 2026 World Cup on Friday, June 12, against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The United States is a +138 favorite to win Group D. Group D also contains Türkiye, Paraguay and Australia. Türkiye is listed at +175 to win the group, Paraguay at +400 and Australia at +800. BetMGM lists Spain as the slight tournament favorite at +450, followed by France at +500 and England at +700. Portugal is priced at +800, while Argentina and Brazil share +900 odds. Germany is offered at 14‑1 and the Netherlands at 20‑1. Belgium and Norway stand at 33‑1, Colombia and Morocco at 40‑1, Japan and the United States at 50‑1. Mexico, Senegal, Switzerland, Türkiye and Uruguay are each priced at 66‑1. Croatia and Ecuador are at 80‑1, Sweden at 100‑1, Austria and Canada at 150‑1, and Ivory Coast at 200‑1. Algeria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Egypt, Korea Republic, Paraguay and Scotland are all listed at 250‑1. Ghana, Iran and Tunisia share 500‑1 odds, while DR Congo is at 750‑1. Cape Verde, Iraq, Jordan, New Zealand, Panama, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Uzbekistan each carry 1,000‑1 odds. Curacao and Haiti are the longest shots at 2,500‑1. Hard Rock Bet recorded a $5,000 wager on the United States to win the tournament at 75‑1 before the draw, which would return $375,000 if successful. FOX One will host a 2026 Soccer Pick ’Em for fans to make their selections. The United States’ odds to win the tournament have shortened from 66‑1 to 50‑1 after the group draw, making it the most‑bet event of the summer.
