Paul Métayer Starts 80-Day, 10,000-km Bike Challenge
Paul Métayer, 26, is a French cyclist. He departed from Poitiers on Wednesday, 29 April, to begin a solo bike expedition.
The expedition aims to reach Athens and then return to Poitiers. The entire loop is scheduled to be completed within 80 days.
The planned route spans roughly 10,000 km across Europe. The distance is intended to be covered by bike.
Métayer describes the ride as a solidarity effort. He hopes the journey will inspire collective support.
Early in the ride, Métayer has already encountered several setbacks. The difficulties have tested his endurance.
He continues the challenge with the goal of finishing before the 80‑day deadline. The remaining distance includes the return leg to Poitiers.
