Orkun Mehmet Kalayci Overtakes Tim-Christopher Pohle for Torjägerkanone
Orkun Mehmet Kalayci of SV Sodingen II has moved into first place in the race for the Torjägerkanone® für alle. The award, contested across the eleven men's leagues, now sees Kalayci ahead of Tim-Christopher Pohle.
The Torjägerkanone® für alle tracks the top scorer across the eleven senior men’s divisions. It is awarded to the player with the highest goal tally at the end of the season.
Tim-Christopher Pohle, representing Delay Sports Berlin III, had appeared to be the clear front‑runner. His consistent scoring had positioned him as the likely winner before the final matches.
Kalayci delivered a spectacular surge, netting a 24‑goal haul in the closing stages of the campaign. The prolific spell propelled him past Pohle on the final stretch of the competition.
Both clubs, Delay Sports Berlin III and SV Sodingen II, compete in the lower tiers of German football, but the race for the award has drawn attention to their attacking talent. The contest highlights the depth of goal‑scoring ability across the country’s leagues.
The standings will be finalised after the remaining fixtures, with Kalayci now poised to claim the Torjägerkanone. The outcome may influence recognition for players in the upcoming season.
