Moseley warns losing Elphick and Cooper would hurt Bournemouth
Mark Moseley, former Bournemouth midfielder and development team coach, said a move by Andoni Iraola taking assistants Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper to Liverpool would be a huge blow. The comment came as Bournemouth prepare for their first Europa League campaign.
Elphick and Cooper have been integral to the Cherries' recent progress. Their work helped Bournemouth secure their best-ever top‑flight finish this season.
Andoni Iraola remains the figurehead of the project. Moseley noted that many capable staff operate behind Iraola.
Losing both assistants would strip the side of continuity in training and player development. Bournemouth will need to identify replacements to maintain momentum.
The club faces a critical window to fill the gap before the Europa League season begins. Moseley emphasized the importance of retaining the coaching core.
