Alan Pardew predicts Jadon Sancho's move to Crystal Palace
Jadon Sancho will become a free agent at the end of June after Manchester United confirm his contract expires. Alan Pardew says Sancho will secure a good move but doubts a top‑six Premier League club will sign him. Pardew also names Crystal Palace as a realistic destination.
The 26‑year‑old joins Casemiro and Tyrell Malacia in leaving Manchester United this summer. Sancho arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million and has made 83 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists. His contract runs out at the end of the month.
Over the past three seasons Sancho spent loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa. He featured in 39 matches for Aston Villa last season, recording one goal and three assists. Villa won the Europa League, with Sancho making a nine‑minute cameo in the final.
Pardew explained that clubs must balance financial interests with player negotiations. He said managers may want players to leave while clubs seek to recoup value through contract extensions. Majestic interviewed Pardew on talkSPORT about the situation.
Crystal Palace are set to appoint Pierre Sage as manager after Oliver Glasner departs. The club prepares for its first Europa League campaign after winning the Conference League. Pardew believes the mid‑table Eagles could offer Sancho the “good move” he needs.
