Anthony Carter signs permanent deal with FC Vizela
Anthony Carter joins FC Vizela on a permanent deal. The 31-year-old Australian striker leaves Santa Clara to sign a contract lasting until June 2028.
FC Vizela announced the transfer on Tuesday through its official platforms. The agreement covers the next two seasons, with the term ending in June 2028.
Carter said he is very happy to have the opportunity to represent a big club like Vizela. He added that the supporters were a key factor in choosing Vizela. He pledged to take his football seriously and give his best to help the club.
Carter began the 2025/26 season with Santa Clara. He moved to Farense on loan for the second half of that campaign. In the previous season, he finished as the top scorer in the second division while playing for Alverca. His goals helped Alverca achieve promotion and earn a place in the competition's team of the year.
The acquisition is Vizela's first reinforcement for the 2026/27 season. Born in Australia, Carter has become a prolific scorer in Portugal.
