Leighton Baines Joins Everton Coaching Staff, Hall of Fame Inducted
Former left-back Leighton Baines expressed that coaching at Everton feels like a privilege and an honour. He joined the club's backroom staff after ending his playing career.
Baines reunited with David Moyes, who previously signed him from Wigan Athletic in 2007. Moyes was Baines' manager at Everton during his playing days.
The 41-year-old Baines was inducted into Everton's Hall of Fame last month. His induction placed him among 37 other former players honoured by the club.
Baines amassed 420 appearances for Everton. Those appearances spanned 13 seasons with the Toffees.
The Hall of Fame honour followed his 13-season tenure with Everton. Everton is commonly referred to as the Toffees.
