Former Handball Champion Invests €4 Million in Braga

Former handball champion Sérgio Caniço is allocating €4 million to a project in Braga. The funding will generate 45 jobs. In August 2024 Sérgio Caniço sustained a wakeboarding accident. The injury forced him to cease his dental practice. Following the accident, Caniço redirected his efforts toward the administration of his dental clinic. He has taken an active role in overseeing clinic operations. The €4 million injection is intended to develop facilities associated with his clinic in Braga. The capital will support infrastructure upgrades. Employment of 45 staff members will cover clinical, administrative and support functions. The hiring contributes to the local labour market in Braga. Caniço plans to maintain the clinic’s growth trajectory under his management. Ongoing investment aims to sustain service quality for patients.
