Leixões technical coordinator suspended 60 days after Hugo Vieira incident
Former technical coordinator of Leixões SC received a 60‑day suspension after a series of insults aimed at Hugo Vieira. The sanction was issued by the Tribunal Administrativo Desportivo (TAD).
The disciplinary panel classified the remarks as serious misconduct under the competition regulations. The incident occurred during a post‑match meeting at the club’s facilities.
Sporting Braga’s vice‑president, previously banned for 12 months, witnessed the TAD accept a precautionary measure in the same case. The precautionary measure concerns the enforcement of the 60‑day ban.
The TAD’s temporary bans remain enforceable pending any appeal by the parties involved. Both the former coordinator and Sporting Braga’s vice‑president retain the right to contest the decisions before the national court.
The 60‑day suspension will keep the former coordinator away from all official duties at Leixões SC until early September. Further disciplinary updates are expected after the appeal period concludes.
