Cesc Fàbregas guides Como to Champions League debut

Como 1907 secured their first-ever Champions League qualification with a 4-1 win over Cremonese on the final matchday of the Serie A season. Como’s triumph came after a 3-1 defeat to Inter Milan on the previous matchday. Despite the loss, Como’s Champions League qualification was secured due to results elsewhere. Fàbregas, appointed Como coach in June 2023, has reshaped the squad since his arrival. The team finished 16th in the 2022-23 season before his appointment. Cremonese’s relegation ends a two-year stay in Serie A. The club last played in Serie B during the 2020-21 season. Como will make their Champions League debut in the 2024-25 season.
