Hamburger SV seek lower permanent fee for 26-year-old Arsenal loanee
Hamburger SV have opened talks with Arsenal over the permanent transfer of a 26-year-old loanee. The 26-year-old, on loan from Arsenal, will return after the season ends.
Negotiations focus on a reduced fee below €10 million. HSV aim to finalize a deal before the transfer window closes. The club has not yet submitted an official bid.
The player joined Hamburger SV on a season-long loan from Arsenal in July. He has made 25 appearances and scored four goals for HSV this season.
Hamburger SV sporting director Jonas Boldt confirmed contract discussions are ongoing. The club plans to present a new offer in the coming days.
Arsenal have not publicly commented on the potential permanent move. The player’s contract with Arsenal runs until 2027.
