Dario Vidosic Leads Brighton to Wembley After Father's Death
Brighton head coach Dario Vidosic will guide the women's side into the FA Cup final at Wembley against Manchester City on Sunday. The appointment comes four months after his father Rado Vidosic died from cancer.
Vidosic grew up in Brisbane, where he stayed up past bedtime to watch a Wembley final on television with his father. He later tried to recreate a spectacular goal with Rado in their garden.
Rado Vidosic served as the women's team's head of coaching before his death. His role linked him directly to the squad that now reaches the final.
Brighton will walk out onto the Wembley pitch with the memory of Rado in mind. The club seeks its first major trophy in the Women's FA Cup.
Vidosic says the family tragedy fuels his determination for the final. A victory would honour Rado's contribution to the team.
