Deniz Undav Extends Stuttgart Contract Until 2029
Stuttgart announced Monday that Deniz Undav has signed a new contract running until 2029 with an additional one‑year option. The German forward is currently with the Germany national team preparing for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico.
Undav said he is delighted that his Stuttgart journey continues and thanked the club for its confidence. He described Stuttgart and the city as a second home over the past three years and pledged to repay the support with goals and performances.
Alexander Wehrle, the club’s CEO, called Undav a key factor in Stuttgart’s recent sporting success and highlighted his central role on and off the pitch. He noted Undav’s strong identification with the club.
Undav has spent three seasons at Stuttgart, scoring 57 goals in 116 appearances. In the just‑finished campaign he recorded a personal best of 25 goals and 14 assists in 45 matches, finishing as the team’s top scorer.
Stuttgart’s sole trophy during Undav’s tenure came in the 2024/25 DFB Pokal, where they beat Arminia Bielefeld 4‑2. Undav contributed one of the goals in that final.
Stuttgart will aim to build on the contract extension as they prepare for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Undav’s renewed presence gives the club a proven scorer ahead of the World Cup break.
