Barcelona FS face Jaén in Copa del Rey semi-final
FC Barcelona Futsal will contest the Copa del Rey Final Four this weekend in Cáceres. The Catalans arrive in strong form after securing the regular-season league title.
The Blaugrana face Jaén Paraíso Interior in Saturday’s semi-final at 16:00 local time. The tie will be televised by Esport3 and Teledeporte.
Barcelona Futsal completed the league campaign as champions, finishing top of the standings. Their unbeaten run included a 6-3 victory against Jaén Paraíso Interior in the reverse fixture at Palau Blaugrana.
Jaén Paraíso Interior reached the semi-final stage with a 5-4 aggregate win over Levante UD in the quarter-finals. The Andalusian side finished fourth in the regular season.
Both teams have had extended rest since their last domestic matches. Barcelona last played on 23 March, while Jaén’s most recent fixture was on 16 March.
The winner will advance to Sunday’s final at the same venue. The Final Four format replaces the traditional two-legged semi-finals.
Cáceres’ Pabellón Multiusos hosts the Final Four for the third consecutive year. The city has become a regular venue for Spanish futsal’s top knockout competition.
Barcelona aim to claim their third Copa del Rey title in four seasons. Their most recent triumph came in 2023 with a 7-1 win over ElPozo Murcia.
Jaén Paraíso Interior will be looking to pull off a shock result after finishing 11 points behind Barcelona in the league standings.
