Gasperini names Greenwood and Summerville as Roma targets
Gian Piero Gasperini has identified Mason Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville as the priority targets for Roma. The Giallorossi coach is awaiting the official arrival of Tony D’Amico before the transfer window opens. Alfredo Pedullà reported that Gasperini has already sifted through numerous names linked to the club.
Mason Greenwood, currently a Marseille forward, is described by Gasperini as capable of playing across the attack, creating numerical superiority, and influencing both goal scoring and the final pass. Marseille’s €50 million asking price is noted as a complicating factor. Greenwood remains at the top of the list.
Crysencio Summerville, a West Ham winger, is seen as the ideal candidate to complete Roma’s attacking wing options. Summerville is placed directly behind Greenwood in the coach’s priority ranking. Gasperini’s respect for the player is highlighted.
Other names that have been monitored include Igor Paixao, Antonio Nusa, Christos Tzolis and Brahim Diaz, but they sit lower on Gasperini’s pecking order. Some profiles have not convinced the coach, while others face technical or financial concerns that have slowed their candidacy.
