Andoni Iraola set to become Liverpool head coach

Andoni Iraola left AFC Bournemouth at the end of the season and has reached a verbal agreement to become Liverpool's next head coach. His appointment follows the dismissal of Arne Slot. The move will see Iraola leave the Vitality Stadium in the summer. Former Bournemouth midfielder Joe Partington said assistant coaches Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper will be sorely missed if they follow Iraola out of the Vitality Stadium doors this summer. Both Elphick and Cooper have served under Iraola during his tenure. Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper are currently part of Bournemouth's coaching staff. The Cherries' home ground is the Vitality Stadium. Liverpool will appoint Iraola as head coach for the upcoming season. The verbal agreement was confirmed shortly after Arne Slot's dismissal.
