Christy Grimshaw Targets Scotland Return After Injury
AC Milan captain Christy Grimshaw will attempt to re‑establish herself in the Scotland national team ahead of the upcoming Euro qualifiers. The midfielder returns two years after her last cap, following a 13‑month recovery from ACL and MCL tears.
Grimshaw admitted the injury left her questioning her career trajectory. The lay‑off spanned more than a year, during which she underwent surgery and rehabilitation.
Since returning to club action, Grimshaw has resumed her midfield duties for AC Milan in Serie A. Her performances have earned her a place in Scotland’s provisional squad for the next international window.
Scotland manager has indicated Grimshaw will compete for a starting berth in the midfield. Grimshaw aims to translate her club form into the international stage to secure regular selection.
