Mallorca Supporters Call for Immediate Resignations over Relegation Threat
The supporters group "Moviment Mallorquinista" has issued a public statement demanding that Real Mallorca's executives step down immediately, citing the club's likely relegation to the Segunda División.
The association, composed of season ticket holders, peñistas and other fans, released the communiqué in the past few hours. They argue that the board must take responsibility for the team's poor performance.
Real Mallorca currently sits near the bottom of La Liga, with only a few matches left in the season. The club's recent results have left them within reach of the relegation zone.
The supporters' demand comes as the team struggles to secure points against mid‑table opponents. Fans fear that without a change in leadership, the club's chances of remaining in the top flight are slim.
The statement does not name specific individuals, but calls for an "immediate resignation" of all responsible executives. It also urges the board to address the underlying issues that led to the crisis.
The "Moviment Mallorquinista" has previously organised protests and dialogues with the club hierarchy. This latest appeal adds pressure on the management as the season draws to a close.
If the club fails to act, the supporters warn that further unrest could intensify, potentially affecting matchday atmosphere and the club's reputation. The situation will be monitored closely in the coming weeks.
